On a sunny afternoon, if you find yourself at either end of Barton Creek Boulevard, as I often do, take a drive along the sweeping avenue and take in all that grandeur that makes Barton Creek one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in all of Austin. I always lose my breath as you take that first slope down when heading in off of Bee Caves Road and seeing the Cliffside vistas, the wide-spanning bridge with untouched greenery below, and the lazily winding creek that offers this Shangri-La its name. On this MLK Day 2017, I was curious to know just how many cities across the US had streets named after the great Civil Rights leader. Would you be surprised to know that that number is over 900?! I sure was!! There’s a growing effort across the country to help restore the pride and prestige that has befallen some of the MLK Streets, Boulevards, and Avenues across the United States. I was taking a drive right before New Year's through Barton Creek on my way back from an appointment, and I caught a glimpse of one of my favorite properties - 1512 Barton Creek Blvd. This home is an exclusive private listing of mine, which are almost always my favorites. The reason being, of course, is because they're usually the best kept secrets around!!
